Vision

For every child to feel loved, safe, cared for, achieve their full potential and have confidence in their future. We also envisage that a child will succeed in their education receiving the level of support that they need.

Mission

Space Accessed Facilitating Evolution (S.A.F.E) meaning we are holding a space in a home for children to access where we will be facilitating their social, emotional, mental, behavioural and physical development and growth. All the staff team will have been given our statement of purpose and have access to updated versions throughout their employment to ensure the ethos of the home is held with high regard for each child we provide support for.

Values

The home values each child as a unique individual believing in their intrinsic worth. Our values are inclusive and respectful, caring and empathetic, ethical and adaptable. We expect the staff team to embrace our values in order that we can work in collaboration and provide firm boundaries for a child in the home.

Approach

Our approach is founded on a commitment to be inclusive of individual human rights. We are respectful of every child, and appreciate all the qualities of everyone.

We are building teams where everyone is valued for what they bring, and we support a child to be who they want to be.

We care about the children we look after and the staff team we employ.  Therefore we will ensure that recruitment of experienced, knowledgeable and skilled workforce is stable within the home; and that continuity of care is maintained.

We believe in the importance of building positive relationships. We know that positive and trusting relationships transform troubled lives, and promote positive relationships with children, and their families and friends. Our resident counsellor creates an empathetic space for children to express themselves freely without judgment and shame.

We are ethical in our working relationships and committed to reflection and continuous learning. We aim for high standards, and we know that by reflecting together, we can learn and improve. We are adaptable so that we can be fit for the future. We do everything we can to respond to the individual and changing needs of the children we look after and will therefore ensure care plans for each child are reviewed by the placing local authority including reviewing our key working care plans
